Specifications
Shutter Curtain: Galvanized steel or BSC "Plastisol" HP200 colour-coated, interlocking lathes, in a traditional 75 mm-deep design, facilitating easy and economical replacement.
Counterbalance: Helically wound torsion spring in a steel tube and roller assembly, mounted on special long-life bearings.
Guide Assembly: Formed from mild steel material, with a sufficient depth to provide adequate wind loading. Wind anchors are supplied as standard on all doors over 3.8 m wide.
Bottom Member: Produced from a cold rolled section in all galvanized material.
Operation
With a selection of different reduction gears and counterbalance springs to suit individual door sizes, operation of the rolling shutter door can be provided in any of several ways:
- Self-Coiling: For doors up to 8 sq. m (max. height 2.8 m); a push-up type is available allowing operation of the door from either side.
- Manual Hand Chain: An endless hand chain mounted inside provides easy operation for any given door height.
- Electric Operation: A selection of motor units, single or three phase, all with limit switches and controls, providing "fingertip" operation and producing the best results in the way of saving energy by allowing easy and fast closing of the door; a manual override is available in the event of a power failure.
Locking
Depending upon the operation chosen, lockable shoot bolts or wall-mounted chain keep; both suitable to receive padlocks. Additionally, guide locks and ground bolts are available.
Options
With rolling shutter doors there are several optional items available. These include wicket door assemblies or emergency exit doors; coil casings for the roller assembly; draught excluders; fascia panels.
Finish
As standard, rolling shutter doors are supplied with all exposed surfaces in galvanized or painted material.
Alternatively the shutter can be supplied IN BSC "Plastisol" HP200 Colourcoat Material, to enable matching or contrasting of a colour scheme.
A full range of colours, some 17 in number, is available but the standard colours are 08C35 (beige), 18C39 (blue), 08B29 (brown), 04E53 (red), 10A05 (goosewing grey), 18B25 (merlin grey), 18E53 (solent blue), 12B27 (olive green), 10B19 (mushroom).
